Using installation and drawing, Roshanak Amini explores the tension between history, language, visual culture and (collective) memory. The artist's current project focuses on the close relationship between language and resistance. Based on archival research, Amini's work moves through the history of resistance in Iran, anchoring it in protest slogans. She uses this language of resistance as a concept and medium for her art.
